| Back to home Larry has lived in his current property for 23 years, and the home is full of memories and mementos so it could use a little storage. The team decide to breath some new life into this tired kitchen, lounge, hall and dining room and reorganise the rooms so it's a comfortable family home. Larry tells Peter that most of furniture and furnishings can go - just not his collection of fireman related knick-knacks! He won't recognise the place when the team's done! Interior designer Tara Dennis gets started on organising the lounge room overhaul. What's to be done: - New storage solutions to de-clutter
- Swapping the bedroom for the lounge
- Updates for a bigger, fresher look
- Sprucing up the kitchen
- New carpet and lino
- A new music room off the lounge
- A new office for Larry.
Jamie Durie has joined Greg in the backyard and shares his tips on how to work a pick, which is just as well because there's lots to be done. - Dig up the bamboo!
- New garden beds and driveway concrete
- Crab apple in the corners, port wine magnolias, lavender and leery oak with a bird bath as a centre piece.
- A new picket fence.
It's hot work … so hot the soil is dried out, but a lucky burst of rain and a lot of hard work keeps this rescue on track. While mum and dad relax at Jonah's, Larry's boys Michael and Tim are shown around the Nova studios by Merrick and Rosso and loaded with freebies! Back inside, Tara and Rebecca have some clever ideas for refreshing the house.Tara breathes new life into the kitchen with special tile paint and a polish for the kitchen sink while Rebecca's new built-ins add much needed storage stylishly. Scott gets to work with help of celebrity apprentice Rozz Switzer blocking up the old lounge door to be turned into the master bedroom while Peter makes sure it's all running on time. What a spectacular transformation the Renovation Rescue team has performed on Larry's home! The lounge room looks wonderfully modern, with: - Freshly painted walls
- New lounge suite
- A mix of soft colours and fabrics to create a welcoming, warm layered approach
- Air conditioning unit
The old kitchen looks as good as new with its fresh colours! Larry and Rhondda’s bedroom has been painted and re-decorated and Larry's office is his own retreat, complete with his memorabilia and a new computer. The front yard is simple and elegant, and low maintenance, complementing the new feel of the whole house. It's hugs all round when Larry and Rhondda return from their relaxing getaway. Larry is overwhelmed by the generosity of the team but there's more to come. Scott presents Larry with a $10,000 cheque from Wizard Home Loans. Congratulations, Larry! A grateful community thanks you.

Sea plane to Jonah's at Palm Beach
Leah McCloud arrives with the limo to whisk
Rhondda and Larry to
Rose Bay for lunch at Pier
before their seaplane safari. It's a spectacular flight from take off to
landing as the pilot points out all the stunning bays and beaches from the
harbour to the northern beaches.
Once there the Parks can relax in style at
Jonah's, enjoying uninterrupted views over the beautiful Whale Beach.
While enjoying a romantic dinner Larry is surprised by his long time
friend Chris Orton. Chris lives in Brisbane
now and they haven't seen each other for 25 years,
so it's an emotional reunion.
