That's when the DIY Rescue team come around in their big black truck to devote four days of gruelling manual labour to the cause of restoring domestic bliss to a home torn apart by unfinished renovations.

Unlike other renovation shows, where the home owners get sent away on holiday while the TV team fix the problem, on DIY Rescue the owners stay and help put things right. They are also encouraged to bring in as many friends and family as possible to get the job finished in the time allowed.
